As Americans, we love the freedom to choose. And it’s not just about who our government representatives will be. Every day we make hundreds of decisions – the clothes we wear, the coffee we drink, our route to work, the time we take a break and when we go to bed just to name a few.
Another core attribute of the American spirit is a drive to make things better. We like ideas that demonstrate ways to add jobs and grow our economy, improve our neighborhoods and schools and increase efficiencies while reducing waste. The same is true in our personal lives. We want cars that last longer and drive farther. We want vacuum cleaners that remove dirt quicker and movies that entertain and take us away to a different place for just a few hours.
The food we choose is one of our most important decisions. Is it made fresh? Does it taste great? Will my family enjoy it? Is it a great value?
Our pledge to you is YES to all these questions.
Our campaign platform is based on pizza created with dough made fresh every day in our stores, covered with a sauce created by our founder in 1978 and topped with a special blend of three fresh cheeses.
Thank you for supporting our cause of making great pizzas for the people.
As a father I cherish every Father’s Day gift I’ve received. But the one that I have on display in my bedroom is a Father’s Blessing that reads:
A father is someone you never outgrow no matter how grown up you are.
This is how I felt about my father, and I hope it’s the feeling my daughter continues to have about me.
Growing up with four sisters, my dad was more of a playmate than a parent. We joined Adventure Guides together – he was Big Raccoon, I was Little Raccoon. I helped him with home repair projects, he assisted me in getting my Moped running. We went to baseball and football games, competed in tetherball and board games, and worked together in the planning and execution of practical jokes on my sisters. And when the school bus driver denied picking me up because I forgot my bus pass, he came to my defense.
After graduating high school, my dad became more of my advisor. He encouraged me to challenge myself academically, helped me select the best offer for my first job, and toured my first home before I purchased it.
My dad has since passed away. But he instilled in me the importance of being involved in my daughter’s life. The time I spend with her has created moments that I will never forget, and hopefully, neither will she.

Summer is a time when you have the opportunity to reconnect with your community. Sunshine and warm weather is part of the reason, which prompts us to venture out of our homes to explore the great outdoors and relax at beaches and pools. Experiencing those things that define our towns is another. Excitement for these events is why we live where we do.
Local summer traditions are one of the ways we get involved with our communities. In my hometown, it all starts with the Memorial Day Parade. The fire department fires up the hook-n-ladder truck, members of the VFW dust off their uniforms, and the high-school marching band practices its list of patriotic songs. The entire parade lasts five minutes, so no need to bring a lawn chair. Then there are the outdoor concerts at our gazebo by the lake every Friday night, and the classic car shows in the parking lot by our pool on Sundays.
Local festivals also make our communities unique. In many cities across America, there are firework celebrations, community picnics, art walks and county fairs. But there are also those festivals that you will only find in your area, like a kids rainbow trout fishing derby, a festival to honor the many uses of duct tape, or a celebration dedicated to people who are twins.
It’s all about getting together, whether it’s with your community at an event, with your family for a backyard meal, or with your co-workers at lunch.
Marco’s Pizza and Pepsi have partnered together to offer fun sweepstakes and great food and drink combos to help you make this a Magnifico Summer.
